UVZ breaks a record
UVZ has summarised work undertaken in the first half of the year 2012. According to the record, June proved to be the most productive. In June Nizhny Tagil production site set a record by manufacturing 2,500 units of railway machinery. UVZ has produced 13,918 units of rolling stock equipment in Nizhny Tagil.
This figure is 108.5% more compared to the same period in 2011, which is considered the most efficient. During the first part of 2012 UVZ produced 11,010 gondola cars, 2,820 tank cars and 88 flat cars. Assembly shops proceed works for Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation orders and foreign customers as scheduled. Special equipment production rate has increased by 45.6%. Besides, UVZ carries on engineering of innovative road construction equipment.
The first batch of PmK-6.02 miniloaders was built and TMV-2 Rail/road shunting vehicle is about to be certified. UVZ revenue in the first half of 2012 adds up to 38.9 billion rubles. It is almost 130% higher compared to the same period last year. Profit on sales is estimated to be 6.5 billion rubles (118.2% increase) and net income – 3.4 billion rubles. EBITDA equals last year’s figures – 5.9 billion rubles. In the second half of 2012 UVZ aims even higher. Thus, revenue is expected to be up to 65.8 billion rubles.
The Corporation is intended to produce 10,760 gondola cars, 3,000 tank cars and other railway equipment. Given that UVZ is the leader in machine-building in Russia and CIS, high production rate indicate its significant development. By the end of the year Nizhny Tagil production site will produce 27,000 units of rolling stock equipment. 2012 is expected to be the most prosperous year for both the Corporation and the industry overall.
