Oleg Sienko Introduced UVZ's Innovative Developments to the Head of Russian Railways
At the 5. Anniversary International Fair of Railway Equipment and Technologies EXPO 1520 opened within the Experimental Ring Railway of Joint Stock Company Railway Research Institute (JSC VNIIZhT) in Shcherbinka, Uralvagonzavod presented innovative rolling stock units: bogies (18-555 and 18-194), 12-196-02 gondola car with 94 cubic meter capacity and innovative 15-5157-04 tank car. The exhibition visitors can experience TMB-2 multi-purpose vehicle that is an alternative to the diesel-locomotive shunter. In Shcherbinka, KCKh-PKM-25/0.4 tank car with a boiler of composite materials was presented. An innovative product is intended for motor, see and rail transportation of hazardous goods including hydrochloric and orthophosphorous acid.
All items excited great interest of heads and specialists of railway equipment manufacturers and consumers of neighbouring countries and beyond.
The EXPO 15120 exhibition in Shcherbinka was actually the first large-scale public event to be attended by Oleg Belozerov, a new head of Russian Railways. The Chief Executive Officer of Uralvagozavod Corporation Oleg Sienko introduced full-scale items on a track near the UVZ's exhibition stand to the official delegation composed of Oleg Belozerov, Deputy Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Alexey Tsydenov and Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Alexander Morozov.
Oleg Belozerov expressed a wish to get more detailed information on the corporation’s innovative products after the exhibition. Alexander Morozov noted that the KCKh-PKM tank car is an embodied result of the funds allocated by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation for the development purposes. "That is not a museum piece but a matured mass produced model," the Deputy Minister highlighted.
Since 2008, about 8 thousand innovative rolling stock units with enhanced load-carrying capacity of up to 25 tons, increased operational lifetime and inter-repair run have been produced.
